Women's Self-Defense at the Lake of the Ozarks
Practical, supportive women's self-defense in private 1-on-1 sessions and small-group workshops, serving Camdenton, Osage Beach, and the Lake. No experience needed, zero ego, real confidence. First class free.
The goal isn't to turn you into a fighter. It's to make sure you never feel helpless, and to give your body something to fall back on if it ever truly matters.
A safe, supportive setting
Walking into a packed gym full of strangers is the last thing most women want when learning self-defense. So we don't do that. Every session is private, one-on-one or a small group of people you choose, in a calm, judgment-free space. You can ask anything, go at your own pace, and actually absorb what you're learning.
What you'll learn
We keep it practical and rooted in real striking from kickboxing and Muay Thai, distilled into what works: reading a situation early, creating distance, breaking common grabs and holds, and striking hard enough to get away. No memorizing dozens of techniques, just a handful you can actually use under pressure.
- Awareness and avoiding bad situations before they start
- Escaping grabs, holds, and being cornered
- Simple, powerful strikes that don't depend on size or strength
- Staying on your feet and creating space to get to safety
- The steady confidence that comes from having actually practiced
No experience or fitness required
Good self-defense doesn't rely on being strong or athletic. It relies on technique and awareness, both of which anyone can learn. Whether you're a college student, a busy mom, or well into your sixties, this is built for you and scaled to you.
Private sessions or small-group workshops
Train one-on-one for focused, personal coaching, or gather a group for a workshop, friends, coworkers, a team, or a community group. Workshops are a meaningful, empowering way to spend a couple of hours together. Reach out and we'll tailor it to your group.

Questions
Women's Self-Defense FAQ
Do women's self-defense classes actually work? +
Yes, when they teach a few reliable techniques drilled until they're automatic, plus the awareness to avoid danger in the first place. We focus on what genuinely works for real people, not flashy moves that fall apart under stress.
Do I need to be fit or have any experience? +
No. Most women who come in have never trained. Everything is private and scaled to you, so you start exactly where you are and build real confidence one session at a time.
Can you run a workshop for my friends, team, or group? +
Absolutely. Small-group women's self-defense workshops are a great fit for friend groups, coworkers, sports teams, or church and community groups. Call or text and we'll set one up.
Is the setting comfortable and judgment-free? +
Completely. Sessions are one-on-one or small private groups, so there's no crowd and no pressure. The whole point is to make you feel safe while you learn to keep yourself safe.
