Our self-defense is rooted in real kickboxing and Muay Thai, the same striking taught here every day, distilled into what actually matters when it counts: awareness, creating distance, defending yourself, and hitting back hard enough to get away. No flashy nonsense and no false promises. Just practical skills drilled until they're second nature.

Standing self-defense vs. grappling

Most real situations begin on your feet, which is why we focus on standing self-defense. The only other martial arts option around the Lake is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is excellent but lives on the ground. Learning to strike, defend, and control distance standing up is the foundation most people actually need first. If you ever want to add grappling, the two complement each other well.

For everyday people, not athletes

You don't need to be young, strong, or in shape to learn this. Good self-defense doesn't depend on size, it depends on a handful of techniques drilled correctly, plus the awareness to avoid trouble in the first place. We've worked with complete beginners, parents, and folks well past 40, and everything is scaled to you.
